§ 51.05 DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE.
The city reserves the right to discontinue service for repairs, non-payment of bills and disregard of the rules and regulations concerning proper use of the water system. If possible, notice will be given to the affected users, except in the case of an emergency affecting the health, safety or welfare of any person, persons or property. It shall be mandatory to give notice of the discontinuance of service for non-payment and such notice shall be given by the city in writing at least ten days prior to the discontinuance. Discontinued service for non-payment will only be resumed upon payment of all past-due bills, plus 6% interest per annum from the date that the payment was due, and a payment to the City Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer in the amount as set forth in the annual fee schedule for re-establishing service must also be paid.
