§ 90.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ANIMAL PET. Any animal which does not perform a useful occupational task is hereby defined as an ANIMAL PET under the terms of this chapter. Such ANIMAL PETS shall include, but need not be limited to, dogs, cats and similar pets, but shall not include any hoofed animals, the keeping of which shall be unlawful within the city. Farm animals when living on agricultural lands shall not be classified as ANIMAL PETS regardless of task performance.
   AT LARGE. Off the property of the owner and not under the owner’s restraint
   ENCLOSURE. Any building or structure which disallows an animal from leaving at its own will.
   IMPOUND. To seize and retain in legal custody in a designated pound or kennel.
   KENNEL. An operation which may keep three or more dogs over three months of age and may or may not engage in the breeding, training or boarding of dogs for a profit.
