The Board may also appoint as many registered sanitarians as in its opinion the public health and sanitary conditions of the Village may require; these persons shall have the general police powers and be known as “sanitarians”. The Board may also appoint as many registered nurses for public health nurse duty, as in its opinion, the public health and sanitary conditions of the Village require. These persons shall be registered nurses and shall be known as public health nurses. The Board of Health may determine the maximum number of sanitarians and public health nurses to be appointed.
