1301.15 RELOCATING BUILDINGS.
   (a)   General. No building other than temporary buildings shall be relocated except in conformity with this section.
   (b)   Notification. The Building Official shall be notified and furnished required information by the owner of the building under consideration, or his agent, not less than seven days before the date on which it is proposed to relocate the building.
   (c)   Contents of Notice. The notification and required information shall include the following concerning the building:
      (1)   Present and proposed address;
      (2)   Type of construction;
      (3)   A plot plan of the proposed location, drawn to scale, and having figures therein showing the distance from the building to all lot lines and other buildings on the same lot;
      (4)   The approval of the highway and police authorities having jurisdiction when a street is to be used in the relocating operations; and
      (5)   Such other information as may be necessary to insure compliance with STBBC.
   (d)   Review of Proposed Relocation. After the required notification and information have been received by the Building Official, he shall inspect such building or cause it to be inspected and if he finds it can be safely relocated in the manner proposed, and that the proposed new location of the building will conform to the provisions of STBBC applicable to new buildings; and that the building in its new location will not be in conflict with a provision of STBBC, and is in conformity with Section 1301.11 where the occupancy is changed, he shall notify the owner or his agent in writing that the building may be relocated.
   (e)   Approval Required. No building shall be relocated until the Building Official has approved the relocating thereof, through the issuance of a permit to do so or through a letter to the owner or his authorized agent.
   (f)   Raising or Lowering a Building. Nothing in STBBC prohibits the raising or lowering of a building to meet a change of grade in the street adjoining the lot on which the building is located, provided a serious hazard will not result.
