(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 124.41 and 124.42, the Village of St. Bernard, by and through its Council, hereby establishes that no person is eligible to receive an original appointment to the St. Bernard Fire Department, or to a previous department for lateral transfers to the St. Bernard Fire Department, on or after the person's forty-first birthday.
(b) All other requirements for original appointment to the St. Bernard Fire Department, as set forth under Ohio law or the Codified Ordinances, shall remain the same.
