515.04 INSPECTIONS; RIGHT OF ENTRY.
   (a)   The Fire Chief and the Police Chief shall have the authority to enforce the provisions of this chapter.
   (b)   The Fire Chief or his designated representative shall have the authority to inspect all structures and premises as often as may be necessary for the purpose of ascertaining or causing to be corrected, any conditions which may be a violation of this Code, or otherwise enforcing any of the provisions of this Code.
   (c)   Whenever necessary for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this Code, or whenever the Fire Chief or his designated representative has a reasonable cause to believe that there exists in any structure or on any premises, any condition which constitutes a violation of this Code, the officials may enter such structure or premises at any time for inspection if he has reasonable cause to believe that there has been a violation of this Code or if the health and safety of the residents of St. Bernard is in jeopardy, or to perform any duty imposed on the official by law, provided that if such structure or premises be occupied, he shall first present proper credentials and request entry. If such entry is refused, the official seeking entry shall have recourse to every remedy provided by law to secure entry.
