1731.08 ROOF SIGNS.
   (a)   Defined. Roof signs as regulated by this article shall include any sign erected upon the roof of a building.
   (b)   Construction. All roof signs, including uprights, supports and braces, shall be constructed entirely of incombustible materials; except, that mouldings and cappings may be of wood.
   (c)   Attachment to Wood Roofs Prohibited. No roof sign shall be erected on any roof of wood construction and all supporting members shall be attached to and supported solely by masonry, concrete or steel construction.
   (d)   Clearance. An open space of not less than three feet shall be maintained below the bottom of the sign, except for necessary vertical supports.
   (e)   Setback from Outer Wall. No roof sign shall be erected with the face thereof less than five feet back from nor within one-third the total height in feet of such sign from either edge of the roof on which it is supported.
   (f)   Total Height. No roof sign shall project more than thirty feet above the roof on which it is supported. (Passed 11-20-18.)
