(a) Each permanent residential unit built, erected or constructed in the Town shall have a separate water meter attached to the main water supply line leading to the unit from the Town’s water supply line. Such meter shall be located in a place which is readily accessible for any person wishing to repair, adjust, read or replace the meter.
(b) For the purposes of this section, the term “permanent residential unit” includes apartments, mobile homes and houses used as single family residences but shall not include any room or rooms in hotels or motels customarily rented on a daily basis. The term “permanent residential unit” includes any part or section of any larger structure, which part is used as a single family residence. (Passed 4-19-22)
