171.06 APPOINTMENT AND OATH OF OFFICE OF MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE.
   Pursuant to the provisions of West Virginia Code §8-10-2, there shall be appointed by Council, at the first regular meeting after the date on which newly elected officers take office, or as soon as thereafter as practicable, a qualified person to serve the office of Municipal Court Judge, who shall hold the office at the pleasure of Council. Every judge of the Municipal Court, before entering upon the duties of the office, shall take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of West Virginia and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of the Judge of the Municipal Court of the Town of Star City, according to the best of my ability." The oath shall be filed in the office of the Town Clerk.
