Upon approval by the City Council, the City Manager or designee will issue a license to the owner of the multiple dwelling. A license is personal to the owner of a specified multiple dwelling. No license may be transferred to a purchaser of a multiple dwelling or to any other person or entity. If a multiple dwelling is sold, the purchaser may not own or operate the multiple dwelling without first obtaining the license provided for in this subchapter. A license will be valid for one year from the date issued, and will terminate on a date one year after the date of issuance unless renewed in accordance with this subchapter.
