§ 30.32 CLAIMS BY OWNER.
During the six-month period that the property is in the possession of the city, the City Manager or designee may deliver the property to the owner upon receipt of satisfactory proof of ownership. When another person asserts a claim of ownership to the property, delivery may be made only after ten days’ notice by mail to the person who has asserted the claim of ownership. If the party claiming the property is unable to furnish satisfactory proof of ownership, the City Manager or designee may refuse to deliver possession of the property until ordered to do so by a court.
