(A) Electrical inspections shall be obtained prior to the connection to a public electric utility and/or before the certificate of occupancy is issued, for the installation, addition, alteration, repair, relocation, or removal of electrical wiring.
(B) The cost of the inspection shall be as follows.
(1) Residential structures. Sixty dollars for each inspection for rough-in, final and service connection if required: $20 for any additional re-inspection as required.
(2) Commercial structures.
(a) A fee based on the total actual electrical cost, including the cost of all electrical equipment and labor shall be charged with the inspection of all commercial and public buildings.

(b) More than $100,000 fees for electrical portion of the contract that exceeds $100,000 will be negotiated between the city and the contractor.
(C) Proof of all electrical inspections shall be on file with the Building Inspector’s Department before certificate of occupancy will be issued.
(D) The position of Electrical Inspector for the city is hereby created for the purpose of carrying out the requirements of this section and the State Building Code.
