§ 51.27 SECOND WATER METER.
   (A)   A second meter may be installed for customers in any zoning district where no water is discharged into the sanitary sewer, subject to the customer complying with the following conditions:
      (1)   Execute a written agreement for reimbursement of city costs and pay a deposit for costs in an amount set forth in the current city fee schedule prior to such work;
      (2)   Install a separate water meter for water used for irrigation or for business use where water does not enter the sanitary sewer system;
      (3)   Allow the city to inspect the installation described in either divisions (A) or (B) of this section during construction and prior to activation;
      (4)   Allow the city access to the premises for inspection of the water meters inside the structure to assure that water through the separate line is not discharged into city sanitary sewer; and
      (5)   If a separate connection is made for water only, the customer shall pay 1 additional water access charge for each existing water connection as set forth in the current city fee schedule. No additional city sewer access charge shall be required. Sewer charges shall be paid only for water entering the city sewer system. All water usage from a second water meter shall be combined with the water usage from the first water meter for purposes of calculating the total water usage for the property served. The combined water usage from the first and second water meters shall determine the applicable water rate as set forth in the current city fee schedule. Water from the second meter shall not be discharged into the wastewater system. No sewer charge shall apply to water flowing through the second meter.
   (B)   A second meter shall be installed on all new irrigation installations within the city under the same requirements of division (A) above.
