9-4-2: RIGHTS AND DUTIES AT CONTROLLED INTERSECTIONS:
At intersections where traffic is controlled by traffic control signals or by police officers, operators of vehicles shall yield the right of way to pedestrians crossing or those who have started to cross the roadway on a green or "Go" signal, and in all other cases pedestrians shall yield the right of way to vehicles lawfully directly ahead on a green or "Go" signal.
Pedestrians shall cross all streets at right angles and shall under no circumstances cross a street intersection diagonally unless it be for the purpose of conversing with a traffic officer, and at intersections where a traffic officer is stationed, pedestrians shall cross with the released traffic.
