One blast of a police whistle shall indicate that the east and west traffic must stop and the north and south traffic may proceed; two (2) blasts indicate that the north and south traffic must stop and the east and west traffic may proceed. Three (3) or more blasts is a signal alarm, and indicates the approach of danger. (1972 Code)
