6-1-7: DEVOTE ENTIRE TIME, OFFENDERS:

The chief of police shall devote his entire time and energy to the discharge of the duties of his office, shall see that the laws and ordinances are enforced, and that all offenders are properly reported to some proper tribunal for punishment. (1972 Code)
