3-1-4: BUILDING INSPECTOR QUALIFICATIONS:
The building inspector shall have the following qualifications:
   (A)   Have knowledge of the basic principles and techniques of structural building inspection, permit process and Building Codes.
   (B)   Have the ability to analyze and interpret building plans and specifications for compliance with other applicable laws.
   (C)   Have the ability to apply codes and ordinances in making zoning and building decision.
   (D)   Have the ability to work well with engineers, architects, contractors and the general public.
   (E)   Possess an Associate's Degree in engineering science, construction management, or a related trade school, or equivalent construction experience.
   (F)   Have experience with plumbing, electrical, framing, and foundation inspections. (Ord. 1705, 11-20-2017)
