The liaison officer of the Spring Valley ESDA shall be appointed by the mayor and shall serve until removed by the same. The Spring Valley ESDA shall consist only of the liaison officer unless additional personnel is approved by the Spring Valley city council. The liaison officer shall have direct responsibility for facilitating the cooperation and protection of the city with the Bureau County emergency service and disaster agency.
In the event of the absence, reservation, death or inability to serve as liaison officer, the mayor or any person designated by him, shall be enacted as liaison officer until a new appointment is made as provided in this chapter. (Ord. 705, 11-6-1989)
