Every bicycle, when in use at night, shall be equipped with a lamp on the front exhibiting a headlight visible from a distance of at least 100 feet in front and with a lamp on the rear exhibiting a light visible from a distance of 100 feet to the rear, except that an approved red reflector meeting the minimum requirements of SDCL § 32-17-12 may be used in lieu thereof.
