(a) Any new or replacement water supply system and sanitary sewage systems within the Intermediate Regional Flood Plain shall be designed to minimize or eliminate infiltration of flood waters into the systems and discharges from the system into flood waters. Flap valves shall be installed on all sewer connections to prevent backflow into buildings during flood conditions.
(b) No on-site sewage disposal system shall be approved which is located within the Regional Flood Plain and which can be infiltrated, rendered inoperable or be contaminated by flood waters.
