The fee for a permit to erect, re-erect, alter, repair, place, replace, hang, rehang, locate, relocate or in any manner display or re-display a sign or outdoor advertising display shall be based on the total display area of each face of the sign or outdoor advertising display as follows:
(a) | All on-site identifying formal or informal billboard, projecting, wall or free standing signs | $20.00 plus .60 per sq. ft. of display area |
(b) | Temporary signs [to be displayed not more than thirty (30) days in one (1) year] | $20.00 |
The federal and state governments and their political subdivisions shall be exempt from paying the sign fees imposed under this section.
