440.11 TRUCK TRAFFIC ON EAST STREET.
   (a)   No person shall operate any truck, trailer, house trailer, semitrailer, bus or tractor, which has more than two axles or a load capacity of more than one ton, on East Street, unless:
      (1)   Such person is actively making deliveries on East Street or at a location requiring travel on East Street to be reached by vehicle;
      (2)   In case of an emergency; or
      (3)   Such vehicle is being used by an employee of a governmental entity in the line of duty.
   (b)   Appropriate signs shall be posted in such places as may be necessary to inform the public of the restriction set forth in this section. (Ord. 1018. Passed 3-4-82.)
   (c)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
