290.02 COURT COSTS.
   (a)    The court costs to be levied against each person convicted of a criminal or traffic violation in the Mayor’s Court shall be as established by the City Council from time to time, upon recommendation by the Clerk of Courts, acceptance of such recommendation by the Mayor, and formal approval by the City Council. To such costs shall be added all those costs, which are required to be collected and remitted to the State by Ohio R.C. 2743.70, 2949.091 and any other applicable sections of the Ohio Revised Code.
   (b)    Upon recommendation by the Clerk of Courts, acceptance of such recommendation by the Mayor, and formal approval by the City Council, a fee or fee schedule may be established setting forth additional court costs to be levied against a person who fails to timely pay his obligations to the Court during the same business day that the final judicial decision on the matter is rendered.
   (c)   Any and all court costs being charged as of the effective date of this section are hereby ratified, and shall continue to be in full force and effect until amended by official action of the City Council pursuant to subsections (a) and (b) above.
