Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of the adopted Building and Property Maintenance Codes of the City of Springboro or with adopted amendments to such codes shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree, punishable in accord with the provisions of Chapter 698 of the Codified Ordinances of Springboro. Each day that a violation continues after the expiration of the time for correction, set forth in a notice served in accord with the relevant provisions of this chapter, shall constitute a separate offense punishable as such. Should any of the adopted codes fail to specify the manner of giving notice, notice shall be served upon the owner of the property by personal service or certified mail, return receipt requested. Upon failure of such service by personal service or certified mail, notice to correct may be perfected by mailing a copy of the notice to the owner's tax mailing address by ordinary mail and posting such notice in a prominent place on the premises.
