660.05 DUTY TO KEEP SIDEWALKS IN REPAIR AND CLEAN; SNOW AND ICE.
   (a)   No owner or occupant of abutting lands shall fail to keep the sidewalks, curbs or gutters in repair and free from snow, ice or any nuisance.

   (b)   The owner, occupant or person having the care of any building or lot of land bordering on any street with a graded or paved sidewalk shall, within the first four hours after daylight, following or during a snowfall, cause the snow to be removed from such walk. This subsection includes snow or ice falling from any building.
 
   (c)   Whenever a sidewalk, or any part thereof, becomes encumbered with ice, the owner, occupant or person in control of such sidewalk shall, within the first four hours after daylight, following or during the formation of such ice, cause such sidewalk to be made safe by removing such ice or sprinkling the same with sand or other suitable substance.

   (d)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 698.02.
