A. Truancy Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any child between the age of seven (7) years of age at the time of the commencement of school, but not the age of sixteen (16) years who is enrolled in a public, private or parochial school to be absent from school in session without the knowledge and authorization of a parent, legal guardian or adult having the legal care and custody of the child.
B. Penalties: Each violation of any provision of this section shall be punishable as provided in Idaho Code, section 20-520. (Ord. 479, 11-9-2004)
