A. The position of Chief of Police is recognized as an appointed Officer of the City of Spirit Lake and is subject to the same statutory provisions for appointment and/or removal as other Officers, as codified in Idaho Code.
B. The Police Department shall be administered by an Officer of the City, known as the Chief of Police or in the absence or incapacitation of the Chief of Police, the Mayor. The Chief of Police shall continue to answer and report to the Mayor. (Ord. 631, 5-9-2023)
