No person shall engage in any business or activity in the city for which a license fee is established by this chapter, without first obtaining and being a holder of a valid business and occupation license, issued under the provisions of this chapter. No license required hereby shall be deemed valid without paying the license fee imposed by this chapter, which license fee shall accompany the application for the license. Such license shall expire at the end of the calendar year in which it is issued. (Ord. 420, 4-11-1997)
