(A) No person shall operate a golf cart on public streets, roadways, alleys, or other public property in the village unless the operator has a valid Ohio operator’s license, a valid registration for the vehicle, proof of financial responsibility, and a certificate of inspection verifying that the vehicle has been inspected and approved by the Chief of Police or his or her designee.
(B) No person shall operate a golf cart on public streets, roadways, alleys, or other public property within the village unless the operator is at least 18 years of age, and is a resident of the village.
(C) No person operate a golf cart on or across a public street, roadway, alleys, or other public property, so as to impede or block the normal and reasonable movement of all vehicular traffic, except when stopping or reduced speed is necessary for safe operation or to comply with any applicable motor vehicle law.
(D) No golf cart being driven upon or across public streets, roadways, alleys, or other public property at a speed in excess of 20 miles per hour.
(E) The driver and all occupants of golf carts shall be seated at all times when the golf cart is in motion in a passenger seat designed, manufactured, and installed by the original manufacturer of the golf cart. Standing and sitting on any other portion of the golf cart while it is in motion is prohibited.
(F) No person shall operate a golf cart on any public street within the village where the posted speed limit exceeds 30 miles per hour, except when crossing such streets at an intersection with a street that has a posted speed limit of 30 miles per hour or less.
(G) No person shall operate a golf cart on any street designated as a state route or state highway with the exception of those portions of state routes and state highways included within the downtown business district.
(H) No golf cart being operated upon the public streets, roadways, or other public property of the village shall tow a trailer or cart.
(I) No children under six years of age or that weigh less than 40 pounds shall be a passenger in or on a golf cart.
(J) No golf cart shall be operated with more than four occupants (including the driver).
(K) No golf cart shall be operated upon a sidewalk or designated pedestrian pathway.
