§ 114.01 YARD SALES.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      YARD SALE. A sale of personal property which has been owned or used previously by an individual residing on the premises where the sale is conducted. The term GARAGE SALE is included within the definition of YARD SALE. The incidental sale of one or two items of personal property is not a yard sale.
   (B)   The conduct of general retail sales or commercial activities in residential districts are prohibited except as otherwise expressly authorized by this code.
   (C)   Yard sales are permitted only insofar as they are conducted consistent with the limitations set out in this section.
   (D)   Not more than four yard sales per year may be conducted at any location. No single sale shall be conducted longer than two consecutive days. Yard sales shall be conducted during daylight hours only.
   (E)   Personal property offered for sale at a yard sale may be displayed on a driveway, in a garage, in a front yard or in a rear yard. Yard sales shall not be conducted in any public right-of-way.
   (F)   Signs used to advertise yard sales shall be displayed only on the premises on which the sale is conducted, except that two off-site directional signs are permitted. Signs advertising yard sales shall be removed within 24 hours and the site of the sale shall be cleared within 24 hours.
   (G)   Before holding a yard sale, a permit must be obtained.
