All residential and commercial driveway entrances constructed or reconstructed upon the street rights-of-way of the town shall be designed according to the requirements of the manual on driveway entrance regulations of the state, with the additional provision that no driveway shall be less than 12 feet wide and that single-family residential driveways shall not be greater than 24 feet wide, with not more than two driveway entrances to the same property. No driveway entrance shall be constructed so as to interfere with sidewalks, traffic signals, lamp standards, fire hydrants or so as to be within 5 feet of a side property line. No driveway for a corner lot shall be constructed within 15 feet of the intersection of right-of-way lines.
