(A) The Public Works Director shall coordinate and direct the city’s street, solid waste and janitorial employees; shall direct and supervise the work of the assistant to the Public Works Director; and shall assist and cooperate with employees of other departments to accomplish the most efficient, economical and effective use of city employees.
(B) The Public Works Director may, in his or her discretion, delegate to the assistant to the Public Works Director and authorize the assistant to the Public Works Director to perform any of the duties or obligations of the Public Works Director, subject to the authority of the City Manager.
