§ 153.12 AMORTIZATION OF CERTAIN NON-CONFORMING SIGNS.
   (A)   Signs which do not conform to the provisions of this chapter, but which lawfully existed and were maintained prior to January 20, 1992, and which violate the specific sections of this chapter listed below, shall be removed or made to conform on or before January 1, 2001, a period of approximately ten years from the effective date of this chapter:
      (1)   Section 153.10(C)(3) relating to projecting signs; and
      (2)   Section 153.10(F) relating to awnings and canopies.
   (B)   If a sign becomes non-conforming due to an amendment of this chapter, the five-year amortization period shall be measured from the effective date of the amendment.
