§ 31.038 COUNCIL’S RETAINED POWERS.

   Without limitation, the Council specifically retains the following powers to:

   (A)   Appoint the City Attorney;

   (B)   Appoint the City Clerk;

   (C)   Appoint the Public Works Director;

   (D)   Appoint the Fire Chief;

   (E)   Control and direct the activities of the City Manager;

   (F)   Make and establish the policies of the city;

   (G)   Appoint the Deputy City Manager/Finance Officer;

   (H)   Appoint the Cemetery Sexton;

   (I)   Appoint the Recreation and Forestry Coordinator;

   (J)   Appoint the Building and Zoning Officer;

   (K)   Appoint the Plumbing Inspector;

   (L)   Appoint the Electrical Inspector; and

   (M)   Appoint the Planning Director.
