For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CERTIFIED FOOD PROTECTION MANAGER. A person who holds an active, certified food protection manager certificate from a program approved by the National Conference for Food Protection.
FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT. The meaning established by Iowa Administrative Code § 481-30.2.
MOBILE VENDOR. A person engaged in the business of selling food or beverages from a MOBILE VENDOR VEHICLE.
MOBILE VENDOR VEHICLE. A vehicle or trailer used for the sale of food or beverages for immediate consumption. The definition of MOBILE VENDOR VEHICLE includes the common term food truck.
RESTAURANT. A food service establishment which derives at least 50% of its gross receipts from the sale of food for immediate consumption on the premises.
