§ 32.201 ELECTRICIAN’S BOND AND INSURANCE.
   (A)   Any person who seeks a permit to perform electrical work in the city shall execute and deposit with the City Clerk a bond in the sum of $15,000 with sureties approved by the Clerk and Mayor. This bond is to be held as surety that the licensee will fulfill these conditions:
      (1)   The electrical work performed by the licensee or under his or her supervision shall be performed in accordance with the provisions of the city electrical ordinance;
      (2)   He or she will pay all fines and penalties properly imposed upon him or her for violation of this subchapter and the city electrical ordinance; and
      (3)   The city shall be held free from any liability sustained by reason of the negligence or incompetence of such licensee or other person working under his or her supervision.
   (B)   Further, all licensed electrical contractors shall post and maintain proof of liability insurance with the City Clerk in an amount of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, which shall meet the requirements that the city shall be held free from any liability by reason of the negligence or incompetence of such licensee or other person working under his or her supervision.
