(A) I.C. 3-6-6-5 provides for appointment of two Election Sheriffs for each precinct in the county, unless the county executive issues an order directing the Judges of each named precinct to perform the duties and have the rights of the Election Sheriffs named in the order.
(B) The County Election Board has requested the Board of Commissioners to reduce the number of persons required on the precinct election boards by shifting the Sheriff’s duties and rights to the Election Judges.
(C) In each and every election precinct in the county now existing, or in the future established, the Election Judges shall perform the statutory duties and have the statutory rights of the Election Sheriffs in those precincts in which they serve.
