Sec. 10-78. Bond or liability insurance required for amusement rides.
   No license shall be issued to any person under this article until such person shall comply with the applicable provisions contained in section 10-31 et seq. Such person shall file with the city finance officer a bond or certificate of liability insurance, in the amount of at least five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00), indemnifying the public against damages sustained by reason of the operation of such rides. Such bond or certificate of insurance shall be subject to approval by the city attorney. This section shall apply to all rides described in section 10-76 whether or not a license is required by any other provisions of this chapter.
