§ 154.079 WATER AND SEWER FACILITIES.
   (A)   The subdivider is required to connect to the municipal water and sewerage systems and must install all facilities according to the specifications of the Public Works Department. Service lines must be stubbed to every lot abutting a street prior to the surfacing of the street.
   (B)   For lots eight acres and larger zoned Rural Large Lot Single-Family (RLS-1) and located at a distance greater than otherwise required by state law or city code to be connected to a sanitary sewer, connection to the municipal water and sewer system is not required. Private/shared wells and private disposal systems are permitted and must be designed and stamped by a registered professional engineer.
   (C)   Except where otherwise prohibited by law, easement, ordinance or other more restrictive regulation, for lots one acre and larger zoned Agriculture (AG) and located at a distance greater than otherwise required by state law or city code to be connected to a sanitary sewer, connection to the municipal sewer system is not required. Private disposal systems are permitted and must be designed and stamped by a registered professional engineer. Connection to the municipal water system is required.
   (D)   Wires for locating water and sewer services must be installed (attached to outside of line) with new or replacement lines from the main to the outside of the structure it serves. (This will not be required on existing lines until the line is replaced.)
   (E)   Stubbed water lines will include curb stop, curb box and rod extension from curb valve to top of the curb box.
   (F)   Water and sewer services stubbed into properties must be marked at top of curb with a “W” and an “S” respectively.
