(A) Residential street lights within the city may be placed at intersections. If there is a distance of over 400 feet between intersections or on a dead-end street over 400 feet with a cul-de-sac, the Public Works Department shall determine the need and best location for a light and make such recommendation to the Public Works Committee.
(B) The locations or spacing of street lights in commercial or major thoroughfares shall be determined by the Public Works Department. Such location shall be based upon recommendation of the applicable electric company as to candle power and coverage of light and shall be the most efficient and economical to the city.
