§ 110.15 AMUSEMENT RIDES.
   (A)   Permission required for amusement rides. No person shall conduct, operate, manage or sponsor any Ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds or other amusement rides operated for hire or for the purpose of promoting or advertising any trade or business, without first having obtained a license and permission from the Chief of Police.

   (B)   Amusement ride fee. Any person who shall conduct, operate, manage or sponsor any amusement ride defined in division (A) above shall pay a license fee based upon the duration he or she shall desire to engage in such business as follows:
      (1)   Per day: $50;
      (2)   Per week: $150; and
      (3)   Per month: $300.

   (C)   Bond or liability insurance required for amusement rides. No license shall be issued to any person under this section until such person shall comply with the applicable provisions contained in § 110.02. Such person shall file with the City Finance Officer a bond or certificate of liability insurance, in the amount of at least $500,000, indemnifying the public against damages sustained by reason of the operation of such rides. Such bond or certificate of insurance shall be subject to approval by the City Attorney. This division (C) shall apply to all rides described in division (A) above, whether or not a license is required by any other provisions of this chapter.
