§ 90.058 HOLDING, REDEMPTION OF UNVACCINATED, UNLICENSED DOGS AND CATS.
   (A)   Any dog or cat impounded under this subchapter shall be held in the animal shelter designated by the city for a period of 120 hours. The owner of any dog or cat impounded may redeem such animal by paying the impoundment fee within 120 hours of the impoundment. The owner of any impounded dog or cat which has been vaccinated or licensed under this chapter upon satisfactory proof of ownership and after paying the impoundment fee may redeem his or her dog or cat. The owner of an unvaccinated or unlicensed dog or cat shall be required to secure a certificate of vaccination and city license within 120 hours before being released after paying all fees.
   (B)   In no event shall any impounded animal be returned to the owner until the owner has produced a current license or receipt therefor and evidence of current vaccination and paid the fee for impoundment.
