§ 30.16 SPECIAL MEETINGS.
   The Mayor shall call special meetings of the Council whenever in his or her opinion the public business may require it, or at the express written consent of any two aldermen. Notice of such special meeting shall be given to each alderman at least 24 hours before such special meeting is held either personally or by notice by facsimile, electronic mail or telephone unless a waiver of such notice is obtained either before or at such special meeting. The notice required under this section shall state the date and hour of the meeting and the purpose for which such meeting is called. No such business shall be transacted except as stated in the notice.
