Sec. 17-501. Determination of abandonment.
   Whenever any vehicle is left unattended on any public street, alley way, or parking lot within the city for a longer period than twenty-four (24) hours without notifying the chief of police where such vehicle is parked, it shall be deemed to be an abandoned vehicle and subject to the provisions of this article.
