§ 30.26 PROPOSED FUNCTION.
   The purpose and functions of this Commission shall be as follows:
   (A)   To collect, catalogue and preserve historical documents and items which may help to establish or illustrate the history of the township and its inhabitants;
   (B)   To collect printed material, museum material and material objects illustrative of life, conditions, events and activities of the past and present for public display;
   (C)   To assist in the preservation of township records;
   (D)   To prepare information that may be used for the purpose of historical documentation;
   (E)   To make use of news media to promote an understanding of township history;
   (F)   To periodically promote events, displays or other activities which will be of interest to the public and serve to educate the public concerning the history of the township; and
   (G)   To undertake the preservation of historic buildings, monuments and markers, and the establishment of markers for historical sites, buildings and trails.
