For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. Any materials that have been declared to be hazardous by any agency of the state or of the United States, including, but not limited to, toxic materials and metal hydroxides.
LIQUID MATERIALS. Any materials, substance or compound in a liquid, semi-liquid or jelled state.
SANITARY LANDFILL. Any operation that is licensed by the state or its agencies as a sanitary landfill or is subject to the requirement of having such a license.
TOWNSHIP. Township of Sparta, Kent County, Michigan.
