(A) An adequate supply of potable water shall be provided to every platted lot in accordance with the state’s Department of Public Health regulations. If the public water system is reasonably accessible, each lot shall be properly connected thereto at the property line. All water distribution lines shall be at least six inches in diameter.
(B) Fire hydrants of the type approved by the Building Inspector shall be installed in every subdivision as part of the water distribution system. The distance from any lot to a hydrant, measured along the centerline of the public right-of-way, shall not be greater than 400 feet.
