§ 154.043 REFERENCE MONUMENTS.
   Stone or reinforced concrete reference monuments, set in the ground in a manner that they will not be moved by frost, shall be placed in the field in accordance with the Plat Act, as now or hereafter amended (765 ILCS 205/1). All lot corners shall be marked by one-half-inch iron pins not less than 24 inches long. These pins shall be driven into the ground deep enough that they do not protrude above the ground surface more than one-half-inch.
