§ 32.037 QUALIFICATIONS OF MEMBERS; TERMS; COMPENSATION.
   (A)   The members of the Plan Commission shall be residents of the city and shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council, upon the basis of the fitness of the prospective members for the duties of their offices.
   (B)   (1)   The terms of the initial appointments of members to the Plan Commission shall be as follows:
         (a)   Four members shall be appointed for terms of one year each;
         (b)   Four members shall be appointed for terms of two years each; and
         (c)   Four members shall be appointed for terms of three years each.
      (2)   After the initial appointments, the members of the Plan Commission shall be appointed for a term of three years each. Vacancies shall be filled by appointments for unexpired terms only.
   (C)   All members of the Plan Commission shall serve without compensation; except that, if the City Council shall deem it advisable, the members of the Plan Commission may receive the compensation as may be fixed from time to time by the City Council and provided for in the annual appropriation ordinance.
