The purposes of the Commission on Human Relations are as follows:
(A) To promote the American ideal of equality and justice;
(B) To promote further understanding between people;
(C) To encourage and facilitate wise adjustments to social problems and opportunities;
(D) To study the nature and causes of prejudices and make recommendations for improvements; and
(E) To provide for mediation through conferences and conciliation.
